Got up at 7 in the morning , sleepy yet determined to take my Girl friend to RTTC , BSNL office , Gachibowli , Hyderabad. Honestly i have never been to that place before and my only hope was my NOKIA DRIVE to guide me through .. P.S its an awesome app which saved my "poor at directions " ASS.
Well as planned picked her up and struggled my way through yelling at idiots on road in the busy traffic . I ran in to a guy too :P .. Well i was pissed off and so was my girl friend ARGHHH ! and these idiotic touch sensitive buttons kept exiting the app.. I Cursed myself.. humiliated and tired finally i searched for the place and accidentally selected a RANDOM SEARCH RESULT for Gachibowli and set it as DESTINATION and this time keeping shut and with the last pieces of my patience i steered down the rusty roads, not sure where i was heading ,up and down the hill. Soon the destination neared to a final uphill "GOD OF HYDERABAD ROADS" raping my car, i prayed again ..
Finally we were there, i heard a sweet voice "YOU HAVE REACHED YOUR DESTINATION" . I got down the car looked around and then my not so sweet voice echoed "WHAT THE FUCK" !!! , believe me i was at the top of the place and could see the whole city all over !!!! *a moment of silence * ROFL loud laugh of her humiliating my wounded ego.. (thats a lie) . i love her a lot she helped me out forgiving me and my ACT OF STUPIDITY navigated me to a near by free way and finally we got to the place..
My view on Nokia drive :
Guys its a very good app for people like me , who are either new to a place or keep forgetting directions :P . You should be careful when setting the DESTINATION as Nokia shows you a lot of results and you might not be sure which one to choose and it may also happen that your search result might not show up in the list.
My suggestions :
- Do your home work before driving to a new place , Google it know near by places
- Save all the new places you visit under favorites , this way it become easy the next time when you forget the directions :P
- Improve your self , no app in the world can help you all the time
Morale of the story : BELIEVE IN YOU OR YOUR GIRL FRIEND NOT THE APP ALWAYS.
